Historial Singnificance

On Vaisakhi of 1699, Guru Gobind Singh Ji bestowed the name 'Singh' to all Sikh men.  Male Sikhs generally have Singh as their middle or last name.  Not all Singhs are Sikhs.  Women were bestowed the name Kaur.
